PostPlanet

Visit time: 10 - 20 minutes

The small PostPlanet project is on display in the museum’s freely accessible lobby. PostPlanet is a virtual reality experience developed by the museum’s Designers in Residence, Lars van Vianen and Chris Kievid. The project ties in with the exhibition Design for the Planet, which can be seen on the first floor. PostPlanet consists of a VR viewer that invites you to look at the interaction between humans and the planet in a new way.

About the Designers in Residence

With support from Cultuurloket DigitALL, Design Museum Den Bosch is appointing a Designer in Residence for a period of eighteen months. Chris Kievid and Lars van Vianen started this spring. They are investigating the opportunities, possibilities and pitfalls of interactive digital presentation options in the physical space of the museum. Using three different test cases, they are determining which forms of ER (extended reality) appeal to our museum audience, which stories from exhibitions and the collection lend themselves to the use of digital presentation options, and how our curators can use ER in their projects. During the Designer in Residence programme, several prototypes and installations will be displayed and tested in the museum. This project – PostPlanet – is the first in the series.

PostPlanet is made possible thanks to the support of our partners
