What does a (national) flag actually say? With colours, shapes and symbols you can show what you stand for. In this family workshop you can get to work as a flag designer yourself.
Draw inspiration from the exhibition Designing the Nation State and discover how designers use simple shapes to visualise big ideas. In this workshop you will design a flag that suits you perfectly: for an imaginary country, a sports club, your family or an important message you want to share with the world. You will learn what special meaning colours and symbols have, and with this knowledge you will build a unique flag with its own story, step by step.
