Paint The World of Cosplay!

From 3 October, Cosplay – the exhibitionwill be on display at Design Museum Den Bosch. Have you always wanted to contribute to an exhibition? In this workshop, you will get to work painting miniature figures that will be used in the museum!

For the exposition, Studio Herman is creating a three-dimensional landscape depicting the World of Cosplay. This landscape will be filled with hundreds of tiny figures, no more than 10 centimetres tall, which you will paint during the workshop. The base colour has already been applied: it’s up to you to paint the character’s details. Anyone aged 10 and over is welcome to join, no prior knowledge is required.

Under the guidance of designer Herman Hondebrink and Manon Keesmaat, you’ll get to work with paint and 3D-printed miniatures. These figurines will all be used in Cosplay – the exhibitionso what you create will actually be put on display! Painting the miniatures is precise work, but anyone aged 10 and up can participate.

Practical information

Participation in the workshop is free of charge, and you do not need a museum ticket. You can join us in the entrance hall between 12.00 and 16.00, and you are welcome to stay as long as you like. No prior knowledge is required: anyone aged 10 and up is welcome to take part. Unfortunately, the workshop is less suitable for visitors under the age of 10, as the figurines are very small and fragile.

Please note: Cosplay – the exhibition will not yet be open at the time of the workshop; you can visit it from 3 October.
