What is a state, who has the right to found one — and what designs are needed for that? Our museum educator will give a free guided tour of the exhibition Designing the Nation State on Sunday 21 June. In this exhibition, you will discover that design and nationalism are inextricably linked.
Through flags, scale models, costumes and photographs from dozens of different countries, you will delve into a comparative design history of the nation state. The introductory tour lasts half an hour, after which you are free to explore the exhibition further at your own pace.
We offer English-language tours for our non-Dutch-speaking visitors on:
- Sunday 21 June at 1 pm
- Sunday 23 August at 1 pm
Practical information
- Participation is free of charge, but a valid admission ticket to the museum is required. Tickets can be purchased online or at our front desk. The Museumkaart, Vriendenloterij VIP-Card, Bossche Pas and ICOM card are also accepted
- The tour takes place from 13:00 to 13:30
- Advance booking is not possible
- Places are limited to 15 participants per tour. Please register at the front desk, where you will receive a participation voucher so we can ensure the group does not exceed the maximum size
- The meeting point is the foyer of Design Museum Den Bosch, where your museum educator will be waiting for you
