After World War I, the municipal in Frankfurt, Germany, embarked on an ambitious project. Many residents were in need and in the second half of the 1920s, the city built more than 10,000 houses. This English-language episode of 99% Invisible tells the story of the creation of the so-called Frankfurt Kitchen and also covers the extraordinary life of Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky.
