Alison J. Clarke, the co-curator of Victor Papanek: The Politics of Design, is Director of the Victor J. Papanek Foundation and Professor of Design History and Theory. She reflects in this short video on the ‘Fingermajig’ – a seemingly unassuming toy that is actually symbolic of design for groups that tend to be overlooked. It shows how inclusive design can lead the way to a more democratic and equal society.
